*** NEWS FLASH *** We've decided against gaited horses, and Rio needs a new home! We've slashed $1,000 off our original asking price, and we'll entertain offers. We would just like to recoup our investment so we can re-invest in some broke QH's. Would entertain trade offers for WELL broke QH(s) of equal value (aprx. $2,200 - $2,800) between ages of 7 and 15. ---------------------------- We acquired this gorgeous, hypoallergenic, curly Missouri Fox Trotter filly about a month ago, because we thought we had a family member that was allergic to horses. Turns out the allergy is to alfalfa dust. We have decided that this horse is too special to be in our possession. Gaited dominant curly horses are very rare -- well under 1,000 by some estimates. Most curly MFT's (about 80%) come from the Walker's PrinceT blood lines, but not Royal Encore. She is a direct daughter of the revered DCC Vegas, and as such, she presents a unique and valuable opportunity to diversify your breeding bloodlines. Royal Encore (aka "Rio") is coming up on her 2nd birthday, and is just getting started with the saddle. She has undergone a lot of Clinton Anderson ground work with the previous owners, and is very non-spooky inside the arena. She has not spent a lot of time "on the streets", and still isn't sure what to think about cars and 4-wheelers roaring by. As a 2 year old, she still needs a lot of work under experienced handlers/trainers. She has a dominant-type personality, and if you let her, she'll boss you around. With the proper training and handling, she has enormous potential to be a phenomenal ride. With her pedigree and her build, she should be a very smooth gaiter. Ideally, we would like her to find her way into a reputable breeding program, because we feel like that's where she has the most potential to make the best impact on the future of her breed. But we certainly wouldn't be averse to her simply becoming a riding companion to an allergy sufferer. We would like to see her move on by the end of this month (May, 2013), so we would be willing to entertain any reasonable offers. We are currently working on her ground manners, and will continue to do so until she is sold. She will be coggins certified and up to date on worming, etc at the time of sale. If not sold by her 2nd birthday, we will be sending her to a professional gaited horse trainer and get her started under saddle. This will increase her value and asking price significantly, so if you are interested in obtaining her for breeding purposes, or if you are experienced enough to train her yourself, act now while she is still affordable. NOTE: height and weight listed are approximate for now... can't find that blasted measuring tape. Will update when able. She is tall for a MFT, we expect her to finish out over 15 hands. Please contact us for more information, full pedigree, etc. Papers in hand.
