SWEETHEART FLF. 2013 Anglo Trakehner filly. "Sweetie" is out of Samantha, and by Buckle Down Ben XX. DAMLINE: Samantha is a LARGE, correct mare with nice gaits, lots of power, and chrome, chrome! Samantha is by the imported stallion, Tizian. Tizian was approved and completed the 100 Day Test at Klosterhof Medingen in 1983, where he finished 12th out of 29 stallions. He is of the Tapete mare line which is known to produce athletic sport horses for dressage and jumping. Tizian has numerous offspring who competed, particularly in dressage. Tizian is the full sister to the mare, Tosca II, who is the dam to the popular approved ATA stallion Tribute, who has offspring competing successfully in dressage. His sire, Harnisch, is very closely related to Habicht, through the damline. Habicht is the sire of multiple Intl. level horses, and sired 11 approved stallion sons. Tizian's damsire is Magister, who was known for producing ammy friendly mounts, as well as numerous Elite and SP mares for the Oldenburg breed as well as the Trakehners. Samanthas' dam, Stephanie, is by Pyrmont, by Gunnar. You may be somewhat familiar with the G line, as this line also produced the stallions Ginster, Grandioso, Gundo, Grafenstolz, Guter Planet, the licensing winner Guter Stern and Guy Laroche. Gunnar himself is the sire of THIRTEEN approved sons, a res. Natl. CH German mare, and a gelding that is GP. Stephanie herself has produced performance horses. These stallions are a maternal half-siblings to Samantha: http://www.americantrakehner.com/Results/horseResults.asp?ID=ORB-A-S782 http://www.americantrakehner.com/Results/horseResults.asp?ID=ORB-A-S879 This is our first foal out of Samantha at Four Leaf Farm, although she has produced earlier foals that were Westphalian-registered. Her previous owner had a colt by the Trakehner stallion Blitz Und Donner *E* in 2011, and there is video available. SIRE LINE: Buckle Down Ben was a Graded Stakes Placed thoroughbred stallion. (Devil His Due--Flying Hill, by Flying Paster). Graded stakes winner of $367,743. Won the G3 Laurel Futurity at 2, second in the G3 Holy Bull Stakes and Iowa Derby, third in G2 Remsen Stakes. Buckle Down Ben also is a G1 performer with starts in the G1 Belmont and Fountain of Youth Stakes. His sire has produced some very nice sporthorses. His record is 31-8-7-5. He had an injury in October 2001, and he was "retired" for two years, returning to race in October 2003. He ground out 17 more starts over the next 16 months, and earning an additional $108K the hard way before retiring to stud in February 2005. He started his stud career in 2007, and his first 3 year olds hit the tracks in 2010. As of 2011, he had 34 foals of racing age, and 13 of those have started, and 6 of those have been winners with progeny earnings over $100K. Ben was VERY well bred, with an exceptional mind and character. He was a very, very willing worker, and so intelligent. His canter was exceptional. I believe he received a 9 on his canter at ATA inspections, but will have to check my paperwork. He also had an AMAZING jump. Unfortunately, he died before he could be re-presented for ATA approval, but this filly is eligible for Preliminary Stud Book inspection regardless. "Sweetie" is a fabulous jumper or eventing prospect. She is a large, correct filly with exceptional movement and superior athleticism. She is an outgoing, strong filly, and SUPER attractive. Her "plain brown" wrapper is anything but plain! She is fancy, fancy, fancy. Sweetie stands 14.3hh at at 8 months old, and should mature to 16.3-17hh or maybe better. Despite her large size, she is very pretty, as any girl should be! She is brave and confident, as well, but not overly bossy or naughty. Priced at $7500 with serious consideration to a performance home. Short-term payment plans available. :)
